Summary: Performs repairs and maintenance of mechanical and electrical equipment under supervision on production lines and facility equipment in the assigned areas.
## __There are Three levels of Maintenance Mechanic: General Maintenance, Skilled, and Multi-Skilled.__
__Environmental Factors__ : slippery or uneven surfaces, working with hands in water, working closely with others, steam and hot surfaces, loud machinery environment, refrigerated 45 - 55 degree Fahrenheit environment, moving objects or vehicles, wet environment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND
Responsibilities:
Performs repairs and maintenance of mechanical and electrical equipment under supervision on production lines and facility equipment in the assigned areas.
Equipment is identified as but not limited to conveyors, motors, and gear drives, hydraulic/pneumatic units,
## _compressors, boilers, and associated water treatment equipment using testing instruments, hand and power __tools and precision measuring equipment._
## _Works from blueprints, drawings, sketches and layouts._
## _Installs functional and structural parts in devices or equipment._
## _Dismantles devices to remove defective parts._
## _Performs preventative and predictive maintenance on equipment that is facility or production related._
## _May assist other mechanics in the troubleshooting and repair of their duties._
Requirements
High School Diploma or G.E.D. equivalent
Must meet minimum testing requirements as defined by Nestl of Mt. Sterling, KY
Intermediate math aptitude and detail orientation
Working knowledge of Lock out Tag out system
Be able to read and comprehend what is read
Have Good Manufacturing Practices
Intermediate communications and interpersonal skills
Good mechanical and electrical skills
All other duties as directed
Ability to follow specification
