assignments usually associated with research design or development, manufacturing engineering, or part of a major engineering project. Independently evaluates, selects and applies standard engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria, utilizing knowledge and judgment in making adaptations and modifications. Conducts development of each assignment, coordinates assigned manpower and coordinates activities of group with various stages of the overall program. May supervise or coordinate the work of drafters, technicians and others who assist in specific assignments. Normally works under limited supervision. (This position is working at a professional level and is considered a 'journey person' in his/her field.)
Bachelor's Degree in a related engineering discipline or equivalent/work experience plus a minimum of 3 to 6 years directly related experience or MS Degree plus up to 2 years experience.
